DRAWING PACKAGE

When you receive a drawing package from JOHNSTON DESIGN, you get a complete set of detailed construction drawings that allows you to get accurate estimates and approvals. Each set contains:

EXTERIOR ELEVATIONS
- showing windows & doors, floor
and ceiling heights,exterior materials, roof slope

DEMOLITION PLAN * - showing existing house plan and any walls, windows and doors to be demolished.

FOUNDATION PLAN
- showing exterior wall sizes and construction, interior walls*, room dimensions, stairs, sump pit, footings,
bearing walls and/or beams, first floor framing.

GROUND FLOOR PLAN - showing exterior and interior walls, room dimensions, basic kitchen layout, windows, doors (and appropriate symbols), stairs, bathroom layout, roof construction*.

SECOND FLOOR PLAN * - showing exterior and interior walls, room dimensions, windows, doors (and appropriate symbols), stairs, bathroom layout, roof construction.

CROSS-SECTION & SCHEDULES - section through the house or addition showing footing to roof, stairs, room labels. The window and door schedules indicate location, size, rough opening size, all required wood and brick lintels*, quantity.

WALL SECTION, ROOF PLAN & STAIR DETAILS - typical roof to footing wall section showing roof, wall, floor and foundation materials and sizes, ceiling heights, connection details. Roof plan indicates roof construction, attic vents, roof geometry, skylights*.
Stair details show rise, run, tread, and minimum headroom and handrail heights.
